What are your thoughts on revenge?

Question

I believe in letting most things go in life, but I have been affected by one persons selfish act towards a person I really cared about.

Went out with a girl years ago, we broke up, she found out I cheated on her, and was really vulnerable. She ended up getting with a scumbag, who gave her herpes, he totally denied it, and hit the road. He was so defensive when she told him (guilt) and threatened to beat me up. He has put many girls at risk. He is now married, and I have his wife's email. Thoughts? Before you curse me out, have an open mind, and put yourself in my shoes. I really cared about this girl, and its done much havoc on me.

Desire for revenge is another weakness of human mind. By doing act of revenge, you don't improve anything. You only please your own self in a twisted way and you are not better than the offender in the end. Revenge is nothing more than perverted need for harming others in disguise of rightful cause.

revenge is a waste of time and energy...
no matter what the other person has done...

do you really want to put yourself at their level?

However, my open Mind has deduced that 
your situation sounds more like YOU are the one 
who has the "Guilt" issues about the vulnerability 
of this girl and the 'selfish act' was your cheating 
on her which started this domino effect, 
however,
after you broke up,
her decisions were hers to make and the 
consequences hers to deal with 
Why would this Guy threaten to beat YOU up?
Why do you want to get involved in a situation 
which is really None of your Business? 
You sound like a bit of a Control Freak Too...

revenge is very sweet when taken with a pinch of salt
you don't know when you were wrong in that relationship
let the other person think bad of you
but plz believe me that if u loved someone and had set it free
and that person really loved you then
you might take a wrong step which you may repent later

In the Bible it states that 'If you repay evil with evil. You will never get evil out of your house.'
