Seniors: What is your most frequent typing error on the computer?

Mine is typing form instead of from - unfortunately not picked up with the spell checker either!

    Hi Gerry - I continually hit - ; - for l - like continua;;y.

Then I hit shift over and over - trying to hit enter.

I do what you do with from and - they - I get in a hurry and leave off the y.

Boy oh boy - don't miss delete and hit insert! I do that and start to wipe out - as I go.

    Fun question.

    DeeJay's mistakes are an irritation.

Mine is hitting Caps Lock instead of "a" or # instead of " ' " It infuriates me when I'm in a hurry. I was also a touch typist, but a computer keyboard is slightly different with extra symbols. Also with failing eyesight I have to enlarge the print (CTRL and forward on the mouse wheel), so I have to scroll right to see the Spell Check and usually it gives me an American alternative or "too much punctuation". That's another source of aggravation !!

I am ok with the typing as I was a typist but the problem I have is trying to read some of the questions from the younger generation who like to ask in codes and numbers, were they not taught how to spell.?

I hit "Caps Lock" and the "a" key at the same time.

I mostly look at the keyboard when I type so I get frustrated when I see many words typed as if I've changed my voice inflection. I have to delete several characters and do it over.

Why is the "a" key (one of the most popular) next to "Caps Lock"?

I somehow miss the coordination between holding down the Shift Key to make it a capital letter and the letter 'E.' it always comes out as 'east' insread of East. I think it's because I hit shift like it too was another letter, so the 'e' gets hit a split second later - I think.

When my finger placement is off, then look at what I typed and it's gibberish. I did not bring a problem from typewriters to computer typing which was the random letter "f" showing up. Guess my left pointer finger would get heavy so it was important to proofread.

I keep hitting the zero key instead of the o. I guess I should learn to use at least two fingers when I type.

My pinkies don't press the "shift" keys hard enough and I always accidentally hit keys next to the key I really mean to press. I often type "their" when I mean "there". I'd be lost without my inbuilt dictionary (set to Australian English thank you) - YA Spell Check is silly.

    Stroy instead of story

Which although picked up is still irritating for me.

I note the we both suffer from putting the o and r the wrong way round.

Typing "teh" instead of "the"...I think it's because the "t" and "e" are hit with the same hand (left) while the right one's snoozing instead of getting the "h" in there at the right time.
