Do you think DUI laws have gotten out of control?
8 AnswersLaw & Ethics7 years agoCan my dog's veterinarian refuse care?
He said she has gum disease and needs a good cleaning, and three teeth pulled (she's 11 years old)...which will cost $695. I don't have the money, so I asked him if giving her antibiotics would help. He got angry and said "Yes the antibiotics will help, but if you aren't willing to do everything possible for your dog, then either am I"....and basically "fired" me as a client/patient, and told me to take my dog somewhere else. Then, he instructed one of the employees not to give me any medication because I was no longer a client. Obviously, I'll be taking her to another vet for care, but is this ethical/acceptable, and if not...who do I report him to?
10 AnswersDogs7 years agoWhy do the Y/A! formats keep switching back and forth?
between the new and old formats?
2 AnswersYahoo Answers7 years agoWhy is there no place for me to answer some of the questions?
Every once in a while I'll click on a question to answer it, and there's no 'field' for me to type in...why is that?
2 AnswersYahoo Answers8 years agoIf there's a nursing shortage, why is it so difficult to geting into a nursing program?
Apparently, there are plenty of people studying to be nurses, so why is there a nursing shortage?

1 AnswerFacebook8 years agoWhen you get into a car accident?
are you supposed to move your car out of traffic (if possible) or are you supposed to leave it exactly where it is until the police come so that they can evaluate how it may have happened and whose fault it is?
2 AnswersSafety8 years agoWhy is it when someone has more than one unsuccessful marriage...?
They still chalk it up to not being able to find the right person? What about BEING the right person?
I've been divorced twice and I have no problem admitting that I was a major factor in the failure(s)...at some point I had to accept that fact...
2 AnswersMarriage & Divorce8 years agoAge is a state of mind: If you didn't know how old you were...how old would you be?
I saw an interview with the NBA's 7-time All-Star Grant Hill, and this was his response to being asked how it felt to be the second oldest player in the sport (by only one day). I found it rather profound...and he has proven it to be quite true.
16 AnswersSenior Citizens8 years agoWhat's the mangiest item of clothing you have...?
that you still wear on a regular basis? Why do you think you've kept it so long?
For me, it's a John Lennon t-shirt that I bought when he was still alive! The graphics are barely visible anymore, the collar is frayed, and there's a sizeable hole in the left armpit...but since he was killed...I just haven't been able to bring myself to toss it.
19 AnswersSenior Citizens8 years agoDo you have a personal habit or quirk...?
that you find yourself constantly having to explain to other people?
When I'm at a restaurant, I can't sit with my back to the door...I have no idea why, but it bothers me enough to have to ask whomever I'm with (kindly) to move if they've already seated themselves in the seat(s) facing it.
I have others, but this one's the least embarrassing...lol

23 AnswersSenior Citizens9 years agoWhat's the difference between saying "I don't mind" and "I don't care"?
People seem to get a little put off when I respond to a question with "I don't care"....but if I respond to the exact same type of question with "I don't mind" they're okay with it. What's the difference?
4 AnswersWords & Wordplay9 years agoHave you ever been to a 3-D movie?
Yesterday, I went to see my first 3-D movie ever...Hotel Transylania. I wanted to take my niece out for a treat, and I would have enjoyed the experience more, if it hadn't been for the 26 bucks for two tickets...and then another 12.50 for a medium popcorn and a medium Coke to split between us! It's POPCORN for cripes sake...not sirloin tip! We were going to go out for pizza afterwards...but I had only brought 40 dollars with me...I was kind of embarrassed...
14 AnswersSenior Citizens9 years agoWhy do I hate grocery shopping so much?
Right now, all I've got on hand is milk, some yogurt, a can of tuna fish and three slices of week old bread...that should tide me over for another week...right? LOL
15 AnswersSenior Citizens9 years agoSenor Ladies: How different do you look without makeup on?
I went to my sister's last night and since it was just an informal get together with a group of close friends and family...I went without makeup. One of the other guests arrived and while greeting everyone, made a quick scan of the room and said: "Where's Sheila?...I thought she was coming". I raised my hand and said: I'm right here". They looked in the direction of my voice and then said: "Oh!..THERE you are...I didn't see you sitting there!"...but not before she could keep her eyes from widening and lettting out a little gasp. I just laughed and told her it was an ALMOST perfect recovery.
11 AnswersSenior Citizens9 years agoWhat are some of the most creative Halloween costumes you've ever seen?
A couple of years ago I went to a Halloween party and a couple walked in...he was dressed like a hippie and she was dressed like a mime...they were "Peace and Quiet". Another attendee was wearing nothing but a pink camisole slip with the word "Freud" across it in big black felt letters...yep, you guessed it...she was a "Freudian slip".
8 AnswersSenior Citizens9 years agoHow did you feel when you realized?
that your children know more than you do? I struggled with it for a while because, to be honest, I felt like I had lost some of my 'parental stature' in their eyes. But it was an undeniable fact that the world was changing at a pace that I had neither the ability or desire to keep up with. When I started asking them to enlighten ME on this, that or the other thing...our relationships went to a whole new level and I actually think we bonded more than we would have if I had stayed "stuck" in needing to feel like I had all the answers.
