Use S video to go from VCR to laptop.?

Is it possible?

I tried it using windows movie maker and got nowhere. What do I do?

The VCR is a Panasonic VCR DVD combo.

    As long as your laptops video card has a s-video plug then yes. I have never seen a VCR with a s-video plug but they might exist but if not you could always buy a s-video to RCA (red, white, yellow cord) adapter. The adapter would only adapt the the video so if you wanted sound you would also need to pick up a RCA to 1/8" inch headphone jack for the red and white cords. Both these can be found online or at radio shack.

    I need more info. What exactly are you trying to do by hooking up your dvd/vcr to your laptop?
