Do you think Kyle Bush's talent is overrated because of the media?

Update:

While some may point out "the numbers" I will say this. His numbers are impressive, but you also have to look at it like this. He came into the series in a top ride and has had a top ride the entire time. He also is one of the few who religiously run all 3 series, thus amping up his win numbers. Recently I saw a comparision of drivers and their wins after running cup for the first couple years. Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson were high on the list, well above Kyle Bush in the same comparison. I think he is good, but comparing apples to apples I think he is a bit over rated. My biggest pet peave is when the announcers talk about his great save out on the track. The make it sound like he is god's gift. But my take is if you were so great you would not have gotten the car that out of control in the first place and needing to save the car at all. He causes a lot of his own wrecks. I also think he loves the media attention even when he is acting mad. He strike me as the type to go home and

Ok here we go. If you talk about Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnfart Sr. then you have to think back to the late 80's and early 90's...

We lost several top competitors back then, that would have changed NASCAR history forever. Davie Allison, Allen Kulwiki and Tim Richmond... These 3 drivers were at the top of their game and winning races and championships. Gordon came up just at these drivers were leaving. Earnhardt hadn't stepped up to do much either, until these dominating 3 waltzed away from driving forever... Don't ever forget that when you hear yourself of someone else saying Dale Sr. was the king, or Jeff Gordon is the best ever... It all happened because the level of competitors were eliminated...

More of the opposite, media doesn't let things lie. Kyle has more negative attention than positive, due to the media. Bad day on the track... hound a driver for answers. If an announcer had a bad day, an this is a big IF, does that person want to have a replay minutes after? NO! The "How did this affect your day" question is better left for the next day before it's answered. But "gotta get the scoop" is more important than life. Just like Princess Di and all her escapades with the media. Look what they caused there! Now what's more important? An interview??? Media blows everything out of proportion. Another example is the Casey Anthony trial and verdict...they can't let things rest!!

I don't think there's any way Kyle Busch can be overrated by anyone. His stats don't lie. 26 years old and he's got over 100 wins in the top levels of Nascar. He still finds time to win some late model races in his spare time. Nobody in the history of motorsports has done what Kyle is doing right now.

Why yes, I do think Kyle Busch is over rated. Everyone knows NASCAR was letting Kyle Busch have cars with advantages. Even a monkey could drive Kyle's car. Kyle would hang back all day in the pack and at the end and then SUDDENLY ... Kyle takes a crippled car and passes every other car for the win. Those were fabricated wins if I ever saw one. So yes, in that sense he is way overated as a driver.

The media has not lied about how many races he has won. The stats speak for themselves. He's a very good driver. Deal with it.

Somewhat, but he is a good driver and will wind up having a great racing career.

Seriously? Kyle is anything but overrated. The numbers don't lie.
