Why don't more people use Android?
I recently got a Motorola Photon 4G on Sprint. Before this, my main "smart-device" was my iPod Touch 4G, and I would frequently use my dad's iPhone 4 (i.e. on car rides, airplanes, etc.). After switching to the Android device, I started wondering why Android got so much hate. The Photon matches, if not bests, the iPhone in smoothness, responsiveness, and battery life. The Photon is faster, understandable considering it is a year newer, and the OS is far superior (to me, at least) because you can make it however you'd like. Live wallpapers, widgets, and sheer number of options you have for every little thing are all things that I sorely miss on my treasured iPod. Also, I can just take out the battery and pop in a new one if it runs out, and iTunes syncing is very easy.
Of course, it does have some flaws. It is confusing at first, but I'm not a tech wiz, and I figured most things out in just a few hours. The default YouTube app sucks, but I just replaced it with a better one. The screen isn't a "retina display" but its qHD, so its pretty close, and I can' tell the difference.
Why do people even treasure the iPhone/iPad so much? All my friends are getting iPhone 4s (weird considering the iPhone 5 is coming out in ~a month) and they didn't even consider getting Android devices. Why do you think this is?

every thing u said is right. actually more people in the world have android devices. bad or good. haha. android is better in almost every aspect. People think i phone is better because its iphone. That is there only argument. Ask someone why there iphone is better then android. they will say "because its an iphone" or "it has a higher resolution display. " those are literally the only two reasons why people like iphone. apple makes it seem like there stuff is so much better. but honestly they dont go into detail. The iphone 5 will be coming out which will be a great phone. it will finally be catching up to android in speed, size and features. but android is still better, and faster and bigger and more features.

Android is actually better than iphones for many reasons. Many android phones have better cameras, processors, some have better displays, you can customize your phone more, free turn by turn navigation and more. People just like iphones because they are called iphones, thats all it is is the name. I work at an AT&T retail store and EVERY day someone comes in asking about iphones and i tell them about android. Once they are educated on what all android can do that iphones cant they dont want an iphone they want android. and retina display is just a marketing term apple uses technically all smartphones have good enough displays to be called a retina display.

its called brainwashing and wanting to be like everyone else.
Symbian gets as much hate too.
People just need to think for themselves and not let themselves be influenced by others.
