3 broadband dongle, when does the internet usage limit apply?

is there an off peak time of the day or night where my data allowance isnt being used? if so when is it?

    No - and even doing Windows updates will clobber it (trust me, I felt the pain when mine did!)

    DOwnload a free broadband usage monitor - and keep an eye on it. GOing over your limit really really costs.
