Could regimes that have helped America's war on terror now be scared of reprisals and Western abandonment?

Update:

A four yearly blip and popularity being the righteous cause may be legal under the UN and ICC (ha) code of misconduct yet it is seemingly obvious that to defeat agendas that are at odds you need a suite of deterrants (biological, conventional, chemical and neuter) (and that all important numbers game) still corruption should be a thing of the past, as should Whitehall?

    It does not really matter

Personally I think their importance on this questionable war on terror is exaggerated.

What about Abdul apologising for being a member of al Qaeda and the deaths of many? If he is really 'reformed' and repentant, he should. One could even argue that chastening experience of being arrested and rendered did him a lot of good and made him see sense. He should be grateful and kiss the boots of the NATO man, Roland the Bloody.
