I am in Toronto, have analog tv with no cable. What channels can I get with digital tv converter box?

Deciding whether to spring for new TV, cable, or stop watching tv and pay more for my internet service.

Update:

It is now past Aug.31 and the Canadian stations in the Toronto area have already gone digital, so a basic antenna to pick up analog airwaves will not work. Thanks for replying.

Go to the web site below, put in your postal code, and you'll get a personalized report of the channels you can receive there. The site will also recommend an antenna type.

You'll probably find that you can also receive U.S. channels from the Buffalo area.

Your available channels will change between now and 31 August, after which all Canadian stations (in the well-populated regions) will be digital. The U.S. channels will remain constant.
