Is there anything like Citizen's Arrest in Pennsylvania?

What law, common or otherwise permits it or denies it? If it exists, is it only for felonies, or does it extend, conditionally or not, to misdemeanors?

    Pennsylvania has no specific citizen's arrest laws but the ability to detain a person committing a felony is generally seen as protected under the ninth amendment. An individual's natural right of self-preservation, guaranteed in the ninth amendment, states that if an individual is being threatened, he can use force to combat the perpetrator.
