Y!A answers is pretty messed up?

wondering why i havent received a job or have been called in for an interview in a while, i started to do some research. i started to google my email address and I found something interesting. There was a post I made on yahoo answers a few months ago about depression, job searching, and keeping a job. I was pretty depressed and wanted to get some feedback. I thought it was all out of good fun and understanding. I now notice that posting this question was a pretty crappy thing to do.

When i google my email address, the same email address that I give employers, This YAanswers post pops up labeled "Mental issues Category". not my facebook account, my myspace account, or anything else...

I decided to try to see if I would acheive the same result with other people. I googled their emails and discovered facebook account info...etc.

Im wondering if I can sue for definmation of character or image or something because it's unfair.

And you know you cant erase those resolved questions once they're posted right? Even if you delete your account...those questions remain.

You can only delete questions that you asked, and you can only do that while they are still 'open'. Once a question is in 'voting' or has been resolved via a Best Answer being chosen, the question belongs to Y!A and is in their database forever (or until they start archiving old Q&As anyway).

You can also email Yahoo Customer services at y_answers_team@yahoo.com or y_answrs_team@yahoo.com and ask for them to delete the question for you. In your email include the link to the question you want deleted, explain why you want it deleted and ask them to delete it for you

To delete your question while it's still open, go to the question page, pass your mouse over the pencil icon in the toolbar below your question, and click on Delete Question.

Answers can and does delete personal questions where the identity can be affected in negative ways. You have a good case, since Google searches have affected your job prospects. (Meanwhile, change the name for this Answers account.)

First, contact Yahoo to remove the Resolved question:

Go to your home page or your mail page, click on Help - at the bottom is Contact Yahoo. Click on that. After copying the link to the question or answer, paste it in the body of the email. Then send the message to the Y!A Team explaining your reasons at the following address:

y_answrs_team@yahoo.com (note that the "e" has been left out)

Make the letter detailed and persuasive, but brief. Good Luck!

    To remove Google entries:

The word 'cache' shows up next to Google entries. (You've probably seen this before but never bothered with what it is.) It's like a stored version of the site when Google last updated the page search, which it does to every site every so often. If you search for a deleted entry in Google the cache will still have it there, even though it has been removed from the actual site.

You need to tell Google it is deleted or changed. For example, you have a Yahoo Answers account - first, you need to delete the content from the original web page completely. If you do not own the site where the link is posted, the owner must indicate that it is okay to remove the information, in one of several ways with computer codes. Contact the site's webmaster: http://www.google.com/support/websearch/bin/answer...

    - after you've deleted your page or certain entries, it will then say no info etc. If you hit the 'cache' button, it's like a saved version and you can see everything! It will still show all that info in the Google cache, at least until the next time Google refreshes its page search for those entries. This could take a while to remove from the search list. Use the URL removal tool (with a shortened URL service so the information never re-appears from the URL link)

Thanks to another user, Zoe, who actually was successful in removing almost all 32 Google entries - it took weeks, and much research for her. (It was an extremely serious identity problem!) She wrote me with all the steps after prolonged e-mail exchanges.

Well how the hell can it be defamation of charachter when you yourself posted it? You agreed to all this when you lied and said you had read the Terms of Service when you signed up for Y!A. You can't post stuff on the world wide web then sue cuz you put it there. Seriously. Smh.
