Are humans the only creatures capable of existential thoughts?

maybe wales and dolphins do but i suspect that the larger and more complex your brain the further you are from truly knowing god.

as humans have large brains we are led to create god in our own image and put human words and concepts in his mouth.

simple life forms don't need to create god they just experience the universe as it truly is and maybe they are closer to god then us.

when people take magic mushrooms or LSD they report a deep connection with the universe and the sense of a deeper reality,yet these drugs do not increase brain activity they actually slow it down.

also people who have near death experiences report similar things as their brain is shutting down.

this shows that a large brain may not be the best thing when embracing god.

Only humans are superstitious therefore the only ones capable of believing in creation fantasies

Dogs dream so presumably they can think. (You can see their eyeballs moving under their eyelids when they are sleeping).

i personally don't think so. they're too busy trying to survive.
