self cleaning oven as crematorium?
given the temperature of a self cleaning oven, could it double as an effect crematorium?
actually I looked it up and the temperatures are pretty close, I was thinking about it because the local animal shelter just installed a crematorium and it looks like a S-c oven

It would halfway complete the job, bones would be left, but it would cremate the flesh. The downside is that your oven would probably catch fire, and defiantly produce large amounts of smoke that would smell awful. Also it would take anywhere from 12-24 hours for the cremation to finalize. I would recommend a large camp fire, of a burn barrel, which is a 55 gallon drum with holes in the bottom, as a more effective means for home cremation.
