Is Uncle toby's Weetbix alright when I crunch up and mix with their food?
I have the brand of "Lil' friends Rat and Mouse food." They love it all except for the dried carrots, they eat around it. It's adorably cute. So anyway, I don't want them getting bored with their food, so is weetbix okay for my babies? They keep on running up to their bowl and taking the weetbix, they love it! (:
I will mixing it with lentils and split peas which is a good source of fibre.
Oats
Black sunflower seeds.
Maize
dried carrots
soy grits. And they all have their own goodness (?) Aha, so I'm not taking away any nutrients.

It's definitely a good idea to mix it up, but make sure they also get fresh fruit and vegetables, because they contain other important things such as vitamins that aren't always present in commercial food. Also, check the protein and fat levels of the commercial food - protein should be at roughly 14% and fat should be as low as possible.
If you want to give them a really special treat, soak the weebix in a small amount of soy milk before giving it to them. Real milk is ok too in really small amounts (they find it trickier to digest, but they do love it!).
Have fun with your babies, they sound adorable. :)

weetbix has lots of fiber (very good for rodents) but you may concern yourself with other ingredients the mouse and rat food may have that weetbix doesn't...so you should compare the ingredients for both before switching entirely. But I am certain that adding weetbix to your mouse food will cause NO harm to them and will be good.

Yes, it sounds like they are having a wholesome diet. Keep giving them the Weetbix - is makes Aussie kids grow big and strong - or have I been brainwashed by advertising?!
