Will it be a joke if Coach Spo comes back with Miami?

1. "No. Coach Spo was great, it was LeBron who choked."

- Clearly this is a bias argument but if LeBron wasn't clutch Miami would be out in the conference finals. And in the finals the Heat were OBVIOUSLY outcoached (who would run isos against zone defense all game). That's why Wade's great performances didn't end up in wins.

2. "They went to the finals what more do you want?"

- They should have won the title with the amount of talent and star power the team has. They failed. They had more talent than any team but they didn't know how to use it.

3. "Miami just needs a decent big man, they will be fine."

- That won't solve the problem as long as they don't have a balanced offense. It might make it better a little though.

4. "Lebron and Wade can't coexist, they take turns"

- And whose fault is that? LeBron's?

Update:

That's my point. Mavs were the better team when Heat had more talent. Actually BULLS were better than Heat too.

All I am asking is whose fault was that?

Update 2:

Dallas' fault? What does that even mean? Are you trying to make it seem like I am discredit Dallas, you're wrong. I am pointing out Miami's weakness.

And @Lakers for a 3peat: If you look closely, your 1st and 2nd point are a perfect contradiction.

Sigh*... to be honest, most of the guys here are just hating on Lebron...

To be fair, Spo is not the best coach in the NBA, he did make mistakes and so did Lebron.

    Firstly,

LBJ's clutch factor was very inconsistent and so Wade had to step up. That 8 Point game that you guys keep bringing up is just one of his bad nights; we must consider though that his contribution for most of the season and the playoffs for Miami was immense and was productive for a key player. However this does not keep LBJ from receiving the all the blame for "choking". We all have the right to blame Lebron for nights like the 8 point but generally, it is wrong to stereotype such a great player.

Spo on the other hand, was great as well. But IMO, the plays was a little raw for Miami as a team. He relies to much on his key players. E.G. - Why does Lebron have to take the game winning shot when they have the 3 point champion in their team. Give the ball to James Jones jeez....

The point here is that Lebron's incosistency and Spo's tactics both contribute to the Miami failure, dont get me wrong Mavs were one heck of a team but the heat just threw the opportunity away. So who to be blamed? - Everyone is to be blamed technically but mostly it is Spo and Lebron

    1. A true statement

    2. They went to the Finals. Having 2 great players and another good player doesn't guarantee a title. If that were the case, the Lakers would have won the West, not Dallas.

    3. They won't have a balanced offense until LeBron, Wade, and Bosh all learn to play a different style than they have been playing their whole lives. Never has any of those guys not been the #1 guy on their team. It takes longer than 9 months to completely change your style of play.

    4. LeBron and Wade can't coexist. They do exactly the same thing on offense. Having them change their style of play means having them become less effective players.

I think Miami overachieved last year. Really, it is the defensive side that the coach really has an impact on, and defensively, Miami was great. Chris Bosh was much better defensively this year than he ever was in Toronto, Joel Anthony was great defensively, and Miami as a team ranked high in every defensive category.

You going to give credit for that where its due?

Pat Riley doesn't want to coach, so who exactly do you want to coach Miami, and who is better than Spoelstra, who finished very high in the Coach of the Year award voting 2 years ago, and reached the Finals last year.

You just don't want to blame LeBron.

2006= Pat Riley Dwayne Wade Win Finals 2011= Coach Spo LeBron James Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade Lose Finals.

No. It wouldn't be a joke. I think he gets one more season to prove himself. If the Heat lose again, I think the coach will be let go.

As for this Lebron business, Lebron was great in the playoffs until the finals. Lebron averaged 26 points in the first 3 rounds, then under 18 points in the finals. I give Lebron credit for carrying the team to the finals. You see, if it was Durant or Rose getting to the finals and losing, that would be ok for now. But not for Lebron. Lebron is held to a higher standard. Losing in the finals isn't going to cut it.

Its wasn't anyone's fault. Coach Spo was great. Lebron was great but when you have the Mavs defense focusing on you it can be hard. I think Lebron lost some of his clutch during the finals just like Ray Allen lost his shooting in 2010. I hate to admit it but Ray Allen is the reason the Celtics lost in 2010. The Mavs offense was just too much for the Heat to withstand. The Heat played great D but guys like Terry and Nowitzki still made their shots. When A team is "feeling it", its their year.

not sure what is your point, but if you are defending

    Lebron, then you have failed.

I agree that Erik Spo has no play on offense. he is a very

defensed minded coach. he basic offense is to give the ball

to Lebron/Wade and get out of their way and be ready to catch

    the ball.

with that said, Heat did well in the playoff. matter fact the look like

the team to beat, but it was Lebron who fade in to the background.

unlike many support cast, they are no getting the ball, but you know they

are there, when I watch the finals, I didn't felt lebron was on the court.

there are plays that he was posting up on Kidd, got the ball, didn't even

bother to look at the basket and give up the ball to wade.

so to add to what you said. yes, Erik is not a great coach for Heat and

I don't think he can manage the Egos of his superstars. but it was Lebron

    who lost final last year.

To answer your question, no it won't. Coach Spo is a good coach. Y'all lost because the Mavs were the better TEAM...period. it didn't come down to who had more star power, it came down to who had the better team.

This Finals was an iconic example of how being a TEAM is the most important aspect of basketball, and any sport.

@Kibby: Who's fault? Lmao...to tell the truth...it was the Mavs fault y'all lost...and Lebron's....you can't get passed that. LBJ didn't produce, that's the truth. He had the biggest point drop off from regular season to finals in NBA history...that's saying something..

he did a good job making them g to the finals the first year, having lebron wade and bosh was a big part of that achievement but to make players like them that are used to be the leaders in there team be able to share the spotlight and become a team is hard and if he did that in one season i think he did a good job

That what human beings do is blame different while issues to do no longer go superb. the warmth has workers subjects that desires to be handle, they have not got a speedy element shield to wrestle different communities element guards so communities like Celtics, Jazz, Hornets, Bulls just to call some that has quite reliable element shield they might have situation with. in addition they have not got that huge presence interior the middle quite with Haslem out. so they are vulnerable in that section additionally. so they have personel subjects. to no longer elevate your boy Kobe yet while the Lakers have been getting knocked out of the 1st around some years in the past Kobe grow to be blaming administration and dissing Andrew Bynum publicly. So while people who predicted to do nicely do poorly all of them element the blame someplace else.
