Do you think Ron Paul has a legitimate chance of becoming the Republican Nominee?

Actually no, I don't think so.

However, I'm not a Ron Paul supporter, but a democratic socialist. Maybe you don't want my opinion.

If you do care what I think, I like the fact that Ron Paul wants to decriminalize weed & end the US policy of trying to be Policeman to the World. I also like him trying to make the Federal Reserve more responsive to our elected leaders.

However, I think he's totally wrong when it comes to abolishing the Fed, trying to put the US back on the gold standard, and several other points. So I'm biased by the fact that I wouldn't want him as president, ever.

Beyond that, though, I think he won't win the nomination for other reasons. For example, I think he's not enough of a war hawk for mainstream GOP tastes, too liberal on certain social issues, and an atheist rather than a real or pretend Christian. All that probably will spur the religious right and a number of GOP military conservatives to keep him getting from the nomination.

there is plenty to love approximately Ron Paul. Integrity, honesty, forthrightness, libertarian and isolationist in the different suited places. yet then theres that 25% of Ron Paul that consists of financial batshit nuttiness promptly out of "Atlas Shrugged" that in basic terms makes him impossible to take heavily as a presidential candidate.

I was optimistic but after I saw Capital Punishment get a huge applause and cheers during the last debate I'm not so sure.

If it's between Obama and an arrogant big government conservative thug like Perry, I think I'd actually choose Obama. Sadly. I worry Republicans learned nothing from George W.

I think his best time is now, if he's going to make it happen it's now. But his toughest fight will be with getting neo-cons to back him. 4 years ago, this was a pipe dream, as Obama promised to end these wars too, and was getting a hell of alot more media coverage. But I think now, more then ever, people are war fatigued.

Even if the republicans pass on Paul and he switches to a 3rd party, I will still vote for him. I couldn't look myself in the mirror if I passed on Dr Paul's ideas of freedom, liberty, and smaller government, just to replace a bilderberger drone with another one with a lighter complexion.

Probably not! I believe that Ron Paul just loves to campaign. I also believe that he is a rare politician that TRULY believes in his message and likes to get it out.

I also want to go on record that although I respect Ron Paul, I also greatly disagree with his politics.

Unfortunately not...honesty does not prevail in our golden age of educated idiots...

The roman citizens of this country prefer bread and circuses, and they will continue to receive their handouts and witness the sideshows of Obama, Perry, or Romney, depending on which idiot is believed to be more entertaining

Yes, he has a huge well organized motivated base that has learned that the Media lies about who the real font runners are. Thats why any poll that is unscripted always has Paul on top by a wide margin.

    No.

His general poll numbers are only as high as they are because people don't know 99% of the insane things he's said, just that he's against the drug war and Iraq.

He should, but with the Media refusing to mention his name, including FOX, it's not likely.
