Why aren't the first responders invited to the 9/11 10th year Anniversary?
They weren't invited back in 2001, either. But they showed up and did their job. They deserved to be at the 10th year memorial, so why aren't they invited? They belong there more than the politicians.

They ARE invited to the Memorial They will just not be able to be at the Memorial Plaza itself, because there simply isn't enough room, and the families take priority. They will be in Zuccati Park, outside the WTC site, which is the place where the Memorial has been held for the past few years since construction began on the site.
Not enough space is the simple answer.

No cops or firemen, no clergy, but lots of "dignitaries" (read, politicians). this phony event should be ignored. If you are old enough, you might remember the photo of three gritty, tough New York firefighters hoisting an American flag. http://cbowen.files.wordpress.com/2009/09/iwo-9-11... When the plans for a statue commemorating the heroism of the Fire Department of New York was revealed, it was to show a black, white and hispanic fire fighter, at least until the public outcry caused the planned statue to be canceled. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raising_the_Flag_at_G... In other words, the act of war and the heroism is subsumed to the liberal agenda. No firefighters and no clergy. Fr. Michael Judge, the fire department's chaplain who was giving final unction to a victim when he was killed by falling glass would certainly have forgiven the fools.

because of fact the 911 nationwide Memorial on the WTC internet site is beginning for the 1st time for the ceremonies this year, and there purely isn't sufficient space. it remains interior the path of an excellent shape internet site. The family take priority.

I am in shock. They definitely should be there--they meant a lot more to those who survived and those they helped who didn't than the politicians who made speeches and denounced the terrorists. Although the politicians do belong there, to a certain degree, first responders should always be welcome at such organizations and anniversaries.
@keithh - Muslims are "true Americans." Their religion is simply one part of their identity. I really don't understand what you're talking about.

Because, this is a liberal celebration. I bet Obama gives a brave heroic historic speech too.

Because that TROLL of a mayor, Blumberg, was worried about a "fire code" from all of the guests and other dignitaries.

The first responders probably cannot afford the contribution that would be required to attend it, saving lives and risking theirs aside.

Many of them believe in God. Bloomberg does not want thems types of people there.
