9 month old eats/drinks almost 50 oz a day?! Is this OK?
My 9 month old daughter eats 20 to 24 ounces of solid food (purees and chunky stuff and finger food) in a day... AND drinks about four 6-oz bottles, sometimes more!
This seems kind of crazy to me -- my older daughter didn't eat nearly this much.
Her pediatrician appointment is next week so we'll ask him for guidance too, obviously, but... what's your experience? Is this as over-the-top as I imagine it is?

24-32 oz of formula a day is normal. Offer her finger foods and make sure the food is healthy and don't worry about how much.

Babies don't eat for no reason. If she wants it, she needs it. Remember, she's growing VERY fast right now! =0)

Is she plump, skinny, or normal weight? She may have a fast metabolism. If she is skinny and does not have diarrhea, she may need to have a thyroid test. If she is fat, try giving her a pacifier.
