I am an Atheist.....but it sounds like you may just have some doubts. I suggest you talk to a Religious leader that you know about this.

This isn't unusual especially when someone you love dies.

I'm sorry for the loss of your mother. You should pray for her everyday, that God forgives her and give her a good place in heaven (read John 14). Pray and please carry on. Do your best in life for God.
