SOMEONE pleasee?! Is it too much?!?!?

I asked this already but no one answered. PLEASE help.

Well im 14 and well I want to buy my best guy friend a Video game for his birthday. But as i said im 14 so i don't have that much money on me ( i don't get an allowance) so the game I want to buy is new and $59.99. well i have $37 dollars that i have saved up and well i would need 22 some more dollars so i made a deal with my mom to do chores for a whole month (just me) if she would give me $30 so i can get a card or something. But i really didn't tell her it was just for my guy friend because she would probably think that 60 for just one person is a lot and we don't really have much money. But still he is my BEST FRIEND like im not as close to some of my girl friends as i am to him( and no we are not dating or anything)

So do you think that it would be fine to buy him a 60 dollar present?

Also im thinking of buying Dead Island or Deus Ex:Human Revolution could i buy it by myself or would my parents have to come with me or something since im 14? ( sorry im sorta stupid on buying video games:) )

Or something else that could be a great birthday present if u think its too much? He likes vid games obviously, soccer, music, plays the flute just to name a few things.

One day you're gonna look back and think " wow I wasted my time worrying about this "

There's nothing wrong with that if your close enough to buy such expensive things then it's fine. Just don't waste you money make sure he doesn't have the game and that he wants to play it. Or buy a cheaper game on sale. Your age doesn't matter best friends are important if your 6 or 60.

I wouldn't buy him that if your having money troubles. All the best presents from my friends were the thoughtful or funny ones, a big extravagant one wouldn't mean as much as one that you maybe made or something that had to do with an inside joke between you two. That what i always give my Friends, and they tell me im an awesome gift giver.

$60 is a lot of money for someone your age. I don't think he would want you to spend that much. He must know that you don't have a lot of money. Ask yourself this: If the situations were reversed, would you want him to spend ALL of his money and borrow from his parents? or would you rather he just get you something he could afford?

I don't have any other gift ideas. Maybe ask some of his guy friends for some tips.

If he is a really close friend, go ahead and buy it! He would love it and be grateful. Also, don't exclude tax! It will probably come out to 64ish dollars in total. I am not sure.

And, yes you will need a parent. Or someone over the age of 18.

That's an awful lot of money for a friend. I.e. your entire savings. Think about whether it is worth it or not. Also, if those games are rated "M", technically your parents SHOULD be with you, as you are under 17, but policies differ from store to store.

That is a lot of money for one frien but I suggest also selling candy and sodas and water things like that around the neighborhood

hmmm. if you're really that close, then go for it. that's thoughtful of you. but that is an expensive gift for a 14 year old. make sure it's not something you'll regret later.
