When will two SEC teams play for the National Championship?

I guess they already do, in the SEC title game, but when will it be official? When will we reach the point that the unanimity of opinion on SEC superiority amongst BCS voters will lead them to pit two conference foes against each other in the National Championship?

I don't know if it's probable, but I sure think you'd have a better game. Two conference rivals, from any conference, not just the SEC, have nearly met in the BCS title game. Ohio State and Michigan nearly had a rematch in 2006.

I think its improbable but still possible

It would take there to be no undefeated teams left from any of the BCS Conferences and a team like Boise State to not have a high enough BCS ranking for this to be possible

The closer you lose to the Championship Game the worse for your ranking too. Itd be more possible if a team from the same conference beats a team the first week of conference play from the same division and neither loses again

Michigan and Ohio State in 2006 was a basic National Championship play in game and was the last game of the season

Itd be easier to happen in a conference like the Big 12 where there's no divisions and conference championship game

i imagine communities should not be penalized for taking area in a difficult time table. you say you had to work out Kansas in the championship pastime very last 365 days?
