Is the power the government needs balanced against corporate tyranny?

Or is it out of balance and favoring corporations so that they can do what they want?

Checks and balance is a very important concept in the US. Unions check corporations who would make slaves. Environmentalists check corporations so they don't pollute. Government is the only way these movements can have power.

Checks and balance refers to the government and not corporations. Understand that our fore fathers knew that government can grow out of control and a system was set up to protect us against this. But now we have liberals like you who want to contort what this means.

If I don't like a corporation I can buy from its competitor. I fear big government, not big business.

We currently have an administration that is the most anti-business (except for General Electric) in history, and look at the economic mess that anti-capitalist attitude has gotten us into.

Checks and balances references our three branches of government. We don't need any more and we certainly don't need unions pretending to be about ensuring fairness. They want the power of increased membership and nothing else. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The only tyranny we face is government running our lives.

"Corporate tyranny" pales in comparison to the tyranny levied by our government on a daily basis. That's why a smaller government is essential.

I am libertarian (true liberal free market capitalist) but corporate socialism (they are "owned in common") needs some progressive government oversight.

Source(s): I continue a forty year quest wading through the huge pile of stinking crap a wide variety of bigots piled on top of truth hiding it from nearly everyone's view. The pile was made by blaming people they don't like while excusing people they do like regardless of where the real responsibility lies.
