where can i find a complete list of high school student's accessory rights?

I know there's a policy stated in school, but do those policies infringe student rights? I am particularly interested in hats and teachers legally forcing you to take off your het

There is no right to wear a hat, if that's what you think.

Schools may mandate dress codes, as long as they aren't discriminatory. In the case of a hat, allowances for religious exemptions may be necessary. Or for health reasons.

In other words, though, your rights start and end (for the most part) with whatever the school rules are.

  • Accessory rights? That's a new one. You have no right to have any accessories or hats (or hets, whatever those are)

Schools set dress codes, and any reasonable code is legal. Banning hats is not even remotely disallowed.

You have no right to wear a hat. You have no right to carry a purse. You have no right to carry any kind of accessory unless the accessory is something like a cane or a hearing aid.

unless your hat is directly related to your personal religious beliefs set forth by a legally recognized religious authority your going to have to take the hat off. or you could start a non-profit, open a church, get ordained, and set your own religious beliefs. its probably easier to comb your hair and take the hat off.

That would come under school dress code.

Schools set their own dress codes. I know hooded sweat shirts are a no-no in many school districts. Once a school as a set dress code, uniform to anyone, you have to abide by it.
