Should the Mariners try to pick up Anthony Bass and Mike Trout?

Wouldn't it make more sense for the Marlins to acquire all 4?

There is only one answer to this question and it has to do with risk vs. reward. With a first round pick you never gamble and take somebody who might offer the best performance. You take someone you believe will have the highest probability of giving you the best production. Without question, that is Miggy. Trout is a fine player and I like him a lot. I think a case could be made that he was the MVP last year. But it was his first season and there are never any certainties that a player can perform equal or better than they did the previous year. It may happen, but I tell you Miguel Cabrera is far more likely to repeat the triple crown than Trout is to repeat his season. Brett Lawrie is a guy that recently underperformed his sophomore year and a lot of people were high on him. And I can go down the list. Braun is a solid player and I do not know the details of the MLB investigation. But, you just never know if he is going to get clipped. I think the league wants to get him after they were outmaneuvered in the PED investigation in which the arbitrators originally ruled in Braun's favor.

The Mariners should drop all of their starters (excluding Ackley and Hernandez) and bring their AAA roster up to the MLB. The Mariners will be a better team.
