You only need to send your bank statements if you are sponsoring a visitor financially. If you are just inviting them and putting them up, you only need provide them with an invitation letter.
If you are sponsoring financially, you will need to provide between three to six months bank statements. It doesn't matter what your balance is as long as your income shows that you can support an extra person for the period of their stay in the UK.

You should not be sending you bank details to anyone, it's probably a scam so please don't do it.
