Is it possible to ask a question in Politics without getting an answer that reads like a manifesto?

It seems to be a common problem. Someone asks a reasonable question in Politics, whether about this recently passed law, or that political figure. There are a couple trolls and one sentence or word answers, and then somewhere out of the woodwork comes a full on three paragraph or more answer that reads more like a party manifesto (whether Democrat or Republican) and does nothing to answer the question but simply state one person's personal and political opinion on the subject at hand; or in many cases something that has nothing to do with the original question.

Is it possible then to actually get an answer, or must we suffer the rants of fools?

    Yes.

But remember it is an entertainment forum. I often have to skim through lengthy manifesto style questions. So if you don't like the length of the answer, don't read it!!!

once I first started doing this like 4 yers in the past, it became into decrease than 0.5 of the questions that have been like that. Now it particularly is like ninety% trolling, and easily stupidity. a number of those yo-yo's attempt to work out how briskly they could get an account close down, and open a sparkling on particularly much on a daily basis. I hit "instruct me yet another plenty. and then I purely circulate do something else for a mutually as. that is not particularly as undesirable in the previous 3PM on weekdays, in case you recognize what I advise.

No. You could ask a simple yes or no question, and someone will give a long drawn out answer that has nothing to do with the question.

That depends on the question doesn't it?

Perhaps people shouldn't ask questions that invite opinion or perhaps they should use the magic of google if they want a straight forward answer.

What's wrong with that? They have just as much right to post a long response as you do to ask the question.

I always just skip those answers, I don't read anything longer than a paragraph MAYBE two if they are short.

  • The simple answer is no.
