Do I need to sign up for a driving course?
I'm in high school now, and I'm taking Driver Ed in PE 10. I got a permit already, and my teacher said after I complete the course, he's gonna give me a card and I can take the behind the wheel test. But when I learn to drive, do I need to sign up for a driving school or just have anyone teach me, e.g., my dad or my brother? I live in Virginia btw.

You will receive a driver education completion certificate when you successfully complete a driver education program.
The driver education certificate of completion is considered part of the driver's license application.
A copy of your certificate will be sent by your school instructor to DMV for issuance of a permanent driver's license.

Driving courses can only help, however they are not a must. My nephew is taking a private course because its easier for his family and they allow him to use their car on test day. Courses teach you how to pass the exam, you will learn something new every day you drive, I know I do. Good luck, and be safe!

u r in drivers ed... is that not a driving school? *face-palm* if you feel you need more training then yes, if you feel confident in your ability to operate a motor vehicle safely then no.
