What Medical Insurance Company is the best for a family?
My husband's new job doesn't have medical insurance, so we have to get our own. Does anyone have any suggestions/tips/advice on which is the best for families who have to buy their own?
StephenW: Thank you for being nice in suggesting that I put the state that I'm living in. I forgot all about Insurances being different in each state, as this is the first time we have had to do this.
We live here in AZ. I will do some more research for my family.

The best is different in each state. No medical insurance company is best in more than one state. In some states, different companies are best for different families even within the state, and none of those companies are best in any of the other states.
There are over 50 different companies that are each best somewhere, for some family. I do not have time to list all of them.
If you want to know which is best for your family, then my suggestion/tip/advice is ask the question again and provide the name of your state.

In which state? And how do you define best?
Look, it's pretty clear from this question that "do it yourself" insurance isn't going to work for your family. For one thing, I'm guessing you don't have a realistic idea about how much it's going to cost (the average low/no deductible family plan, WITHOUT maternity coverage, runs $1500 a month, with NO preexisting conditions covered).
You need to find a local broker - local to YOU. Not all insurance companies sell policies in all states, and MOST insurance companies sell multiple coverage plans. A broker can help you sort them out, in YOUR area, and won't cost you anything extra.

I might propose going to the division of coverage on your state, seem on the firms and in addition rankings of each and every corporation. Many firms for the duration of United States are merging because the higher firms like WellPoint (blue pass) and United Health are presently obtaining smaller well being coverage co's. So if you purchase from a smaller corporation in these days, day after today you could have the higher corporation besides. Also, touch your physicians workplace and ask your supplier who they might propose- eventually they're those who topic as they're going to be billing the coverage corporation you opt for.
