How much does a tooth extraction typically cost?

Our 7 month old puppy was recently at the vet for a small cough when the vet noticed that two of his baby canines hadn't fallen out yet even though the main ones had already grown in. She told me to give it a couple months to see if they fall out on their own and if not we may want to get them extracted.

So my question is, how much does it typically run to get a canine tooth extracted in a dog just so I know what to expect should we do this?

Update:

None of the vets around here will qoute prices over the phone, they all want you to come in before qouting a price and they'll still charge you $45-$50 just to look at the dog and give you that price. So I have no way of knowing whats fair, I just have to take their word for it. I have many, many, many, vets in my area and haven't settled on one yet so I'm just looking for a bench mark to gauge against in terms of pricing.

Update 2:

Our puppy has already been nueter btw

It the pup has not been neutered have both of them done at the same time. It will save you money. The receptionist can give you the costs of any procedure.

It all depends where you live a weight of the dog. Often if any of a puppies baby teeth have fallen out and need to be removed a vet will advice doing it the same time as they neuter the dog that bway save to operations on the dog and works out cheaper.

dont know about animals but people teeth will cost around 100 to 200 if it is just pulled as outpatient meaning they just numb it up and yank it. If surgery is needed because tooth cant be yanked without cutting it out then it can run much more cuz its a surgey. if anethesia is used it can run a lot more. around 600 on low end. 1500 on higher end. once again tho. those r people quotes

Source(s): many teeth pulled and reconstructive surgerys done as result of accident

No one would have any idea how much your vet charges. Why not just pick up your phone and give the vet's office a call?
