What Italian word derives from Latin's PRETIU?

For example:

AMPLU > amplo > ampio

SIMILAT > similia > simila > semola

according to the instructor PRETIU went in two directions...I found

PRETIU > pretio > prezzo

but I I need help with the other !!!

    From latin PRETIU(M) derive PREZZO and PREGIO. In fact from TJ(J="iod") derive Z or G, for example: SERVITIU(M) > SERVIGIO but also SERVIZIO; STATIONEM>STAGIONE, STAZIONE ecc

    I don't know but I could guess "prete" which means priest.

    Oh and btw, I would have swore that similat lead to simile instead of semola.... XD!!
