Do you tend to assume others see things as you do, or else are your opponents?

I see polarization as one of our biggest political problems these days. We seem to be working with love him or hate him, right or wrong, good or evil, black or white sort of approach to politics, instead of Republican or Democrat. OK, we mostly know that minor parties do not win, and a vote for a minor party candidate tends to be to the advantage of the one you like least. But we're still more than a year from the general election, and have plenty of time to examine our options from many angles.

I don't assume anything because as a teacher once taught me it makes an *** out of you and me. What I have observed is we cannot take anything for granted with politics. We cannot "assume" all Republicans or all Democrats are true to their original party's platforms. We now must take and evaluate each individual candidate on their own personal integrity (lol), merits, and accomplishments. People nowadays do not evaluate candidates on the important matters of integrity ... moral uprightness and honest behavior, humility, sincerity, steadfastness, peacefulness, courtesy, and last but certainly not least their obedience to God.

What we are given to pick from today is less than acceptable ... we choose from the best of the inferior. None of them possess the character and integrity of godly leaders who will build up this country (instead of themselves), serve us (instead of themselves), who will seek God to get His input (instead of relying on themselves and their peers). Americans have sat back and allowed these inferior leaders to take charge and corrupt this great country to the point where God is allowing us to wallow in our sinfulness.

We have no one to blame but ourselves for the predicament we are in now. By our own laziness we pick and choose those with the ability to "smooth" talk us, possesses charm, looks like a leader, handsome or tall or all the things that don't amount to a hill of beans. We need men like Dwight David Eisenhower who has fought in the trenches with our young men and women and knows the perils of war so we can be kept out of it. We need men who can think on their feet and will accept counsel from those older and wiser than themselves. We need men who can keep their zippers zipped when holding a political position!

Since we still do have some time left ... I sincerely hope that my little rant will wake people up to do their own research on the candidates backgrounds and pick god-fearing men who will work for us.
