I want to make some tamales?

I want to make some tamales but I don't have any dried corn husks. Is it okay to use the corn husks from the corn I just shucked?

Sure. When you use the dried ones, you have to soak them to get them pliable anyway. I hope you have a couple of kitchen helpers available. Tamales are a lot of work and are best made on an "assembly line".

It works the same, but the tamal will absorb some of the fresh husk flavor.

I think it would work out fine.
