Play dodgeball with glasses?

Hey I'm playing the AWESOME american sport called dodgeball today (theres not many leagues in Australia!) but I wear glasses... I have pretty bad vision, not as bad as some but I can't read big writing from maybe 20 feet away.

Anyway, I don't wear glasses all the time. Just to watch tv, catch the bus & in lectures/tutes. Would it be not-wise for me to wear glasses whilst playing dodgeball? I mean would it be that much more difficult if I DIDN'T wear glasses?

I'd say its a big of a benefit cos people are less likely to hit you cos they think they'll break your glasses hahahhaha

Thanks for your input!

don't wear your glasses they will fly off and break or scratch your face when you get hit. Hitting a person on the head with the ball is a foul but you don't want to risk it. The ball will be visible enough that playing without glasses won't affect your playing abilities.

I think that you would get much better answers in either "other - sports" or maybe even "other - outdoor recreation" But from what I've observed yes breaking a glow stick and smearing it on something does work, and will easily still be glowing after the hour so so that you're thinking of. However they do make a mess, so if you go this route I would highly suggest that everyone knows beforehand to wear old clothes that they don't mind getting messed up. Have you tired a search for a glow in the dark ball that would be suitable? I would have to believe that someone somewhere makes them. A more practical option would be under some lights, although that doesn't sound as cool to most people but a lot easier. of course in the total dark could get interesting too!

This question takes me back to my middle school and high school years...

If you want your glasses broken, then sure wear it. But I'm sure you don't, so NO, do not wear it. I broke my glasses twice in middle school because I thought it would be okay to wear glasses while playing dodge ball. It was not very fun trying to replace the frames. Not at all. Being blind for a few days was not worth seeing well while playing dodge ball.

If you vision, like you said, is not bad, you should not have a problem playing dodge ball. I played dodge ball without glasses in school, and it's not hard. As long as you can see the outline of the person, you got your target.

Buy some safety goggles that go over your glasses at a hardware store. They don't cost much. Most schools in the US don't play dodgeball anymore like they did when I was a kid. They are afraid they could get hurt now .

Just read a book watching the identical e book that is converted to that movie. A couple of details in a written e book that we neglect observing a movie. We don't have the sense of color or smell our minds can create.

Books transform your life grammar, reading level, spelling, vocabulary, and generally are more educational than T.V.
