Homeowners: Have you purchased carpeting from Home Depot ? How was the quality?

I need carpeting for two rooms. I do not want to spend a ton of money on the carpeting, but I am concerned about the quality and durability. Any experiences ?

You generally get what you pay for.. Buy cheap carpet and get carpet that won t last or if you try and save by doing a cheap pad, that will ruin carpet , even a good one just as fast. Spend what you can afford and get the best ( carpet and pad) you can afford. It ll last longer.

Home Depot, just like any other store will carry cheap and more expensive carpet. Look at prices, material its made or and all warranties to help you judge.

You mean the carpet they have ready to cut? It's not bad but I went to a local carpet shop and asked for if they had any deals for one bedroom, just the carpet (I installed) and got a much better quality for around same price. My other bedroom has home depot carpet and after 3 years it's gone flat while the carpet has held up.
