Is Sims 3 better than Sims 2?

The sims 2 runs a lot smoother because the computer isn't running the entire town at the same time.. just your sim's house. However the good side to this in the sims 3 is that you have immediate access to anything without waiting for the game to load. Also, the sims 2 has pets, weather, and all of the other EPs that TS3 doesn't have.

All in all, I much prefer the sims 3. The graphics are slightly better and there are more gameplay opportunities. Also, (this is a big deal to me) in the sims 2 you cannot edit sims once they're created, in the sims 3 you can shift click them and click "edit in create a sim" anytime you want. And the real estate investments in TS3 are very useful as well.

Yes of course and like the sims 2, the sims 3 pets is coming out next month (i can't wait cause I'm a sim geek :) But yeah and they will have of course better graphites, less glitches and more of everything and fashion too (if your into that stuff), and they will have horses in the new sims 3 pets. Plus other expansion packs came out like late night which is when your young adult sims party :D

in the sims 2 it takes forever to load to go to a house or vaction but in sims 3 their is no loading screen and the game is faster and their is more stuff to do

Personally I prefer the sims2 it has better graphics and you can see inside the stores as well as create them, with the right extension pack.

The sims3 on the other hand has a VERY limited clothing and hair selection which are not even up to standards, additionally if you do want decent hair or clothes you have to buy it from the game store which seems cheeky to me. Agreed it's cool you can customize things but I see that as a way to get passed making a large selection of items, and to be fair customizing everything is a waste of time anyways.

All in all I had the sims3 for around a month before uninstalling it and re-installing the sims2 =]

Yeah, I like it more then Sims 2, you can propose for a baby.

In my opinion i really like the sims 3 but i think the sims 2 is better because it has better cheats and you can have alien babies

I don't feel like spending 50 dollars on a game and end up hating it.

I'll just stick with Sims 2 for now. c;

sims 3 has frame problems on pc , it was rushed

sims 2 is better optimized .

sims 3 is funner though if you don't mind the freezing
