I have a concrete beam problem. Every book shows how to calculate M. But that is incomplete.?

I need to be able to calclate beam stress and beam strength. How ?

Update:

I don't need basic physics equations. I need how you have calculated M strength and M stress what to do with the M for say a 11 foot long beam, 4 feet wide with 4000 Psi concrete, ans #8 rebar on 12" centers. The beam is supported on the ends. Rebar Fy=40,000 Psi How muhc load (Lb) can it take in the center ?
