Biology help with Independent and Dependent variables?

We had a lab and now I have to write a lab write-up and I need help?

We were supposed to observe three different objects in both water and lime soda

The three objects were: raisins, cheerios, and beans

For five minutes, we had to record what happened during each minute with each of the objects

What are the dependent and independent variables for the lab?

Thanks for helping!(=

Independent variable - something that you're in control of.

Dependent variable - something that changes by itself based on the independent variable.

    In this lab..

    Independent variables are :

Time ( because you were the one that set up the time range )

The three objects ( because you were the one to choose which object to operate with )

Water and lime soda ( because again, you chose them )

    Dependent variable:

what happened to each object, or simply the CHANGE *

( since you didn't specify, what change exactly you were looking for, than the dependent would simply be the change )

    Hope it helps
