Ask your high school's college counselor.

Your school's guidance counselor should help you out with all the details of what you need to do.
1. Study hard in high school, get good grades, take all college prep & req classes, and even advanced, honors, or AP classes if possible.
2. Take SAT or ACT tests, and any AP exam you can do.
3. Apply to colleges & financial aid. There is a time range for applications, and you can do both at the same time.
4. Continue strong and finish your senior year in high school while you wait out decision letters.
There are some special scholarships that you have to apply for, but you don't have to apply to college scholarships separately. College scholarships are merit based. So when college admissions review your application, they will award you a scholarship if you qualify.
