Leaving family to go to school.?

I am a wife and mother of a 2 year old. My husband and I have been considering me going to school in another state. I have been accepted to the nursing program. I have been trying to get accepted to the program at home, after 3 years of applying and not being accepted It has left me to apply else where. Now I have the oppurtunity to go but am scared to leave my family behind to do it. The program is only4 semesters. This career would be life changing for my family and I. Am I crazy to leave my family for school?

4 semester is 2 years. That's a long time. Why can't they go with you? Have your husband start applying to jobs in that state ASAP so they can join you as soon as he gets one. Rent a place there, and if you own your home here, get a real estate agent to help you rent it out and act as landlord.

I feel like there are nursing programs EVERYWHERE, including online learning. I see commercials for them all the time, and it seems like they accept pretty much anyone. I have a hard time believing you can't find ANY program at all that would let you stay at home, even if it's not as good as the one you got into.
