No specific 401k books. Just read up on investing. I got started with "Investing for Dummies," and the website below.

The only thing distinguishing 401k's from other investment accounts is the tax benefits and employer matching feature. That can be covered in a chapter of a book.

Investing for Dummies by Eric Tyson (I have this), or Morningstar's Guide to Mutual Funds would be a good start. Go to your library or book store & to the business/financial section. Tons of books on money, investing & personal finance. Being financially free by mid 30's seems a little optimistic, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

Forget the Pie: Recipe for a Healthier 401k [Paperback] Ric Lager (Author)

Point and Figure Charting: The Essential Application for Forecasting and Tracking Market Prices (Wiley Trading) [Hardcover] Thomas J. Dorsey (Author)

you can find both these books on amazon and other places, no doubt.

    Good luck!

Books concerning Mutual Fund Portfolio.." Allocations"...percentage allocations, and type sector.

Books by William E. Donoqhue's,like... No-Load Mutual Fund Guide...also moneyletter.com,..would help decide what sectors, and when...Most 401k's options are not that extensive, but what you pick and when is critical..Best of Luck.

Books make your sentence structure, reading level, spelling, vocabulary, and generally tend to be more educational than T.V.

Look for Dave Ramsey or Suzie Ormand which are usually available for FREE at your church or library. Remember costs are critical to formulating a good plan. Consider Vanguard as a company and product.
