I recently updated my ITunes. Now most of my songs don't sync to my IPod?

I recently updated ITunes on my IMac. I downloaded some songs a while back and added them to my ITunes library. I tried to sync them but the majority of them won't sync. I tried it again a few days later, but the same thing is still happening. I never had a problem before until I updated the program. iPod is not full, and all songs are in MP3 format. What can I do?

    this occurred to mine. examine the next: one million. unplug your USB force & plug it in an extra, or wait two min. two. once you plug it in acquired to "your ipod" and opt for song or songs and click on sync all. three. completely satisfied turkey day.
