Socrates asked in Arts & HumanitiesPoetry · 10 years ago

Can you properly critique a bad poem?

I confess. I wrote this.

Please give at least two thoughtful reasons

why this poem s*cks if you expect a BA

Theo Geisel, I hardly knew ye

sad lad

said his dad

made him mad

said his dad

took his rad

lifestyle for a fad

bad dad

what he had

in this lad

what he had

was a tad

more than he thought he had

'cause the lad

became a grad

and the dad

was very glad

dad and lad

glad and grad

not a bad

dyad

Update:

Definition of DYAD

1

: pair; specifically : two individuals (as husband and wife) maintaining a sociologically significant relationship

Update 2:

@:AlphaCrucis from Hellas

Aristarchus was a mathematician and astronomer;

Socrates was,a philosopher.

-->not a fair fight for either

Update 3:

@:Evelyn

how did you know dad and lad were

Vlad and Vlad, Jr.?

Update 4:

@:Dave

Thanks for the compliment,

but you're just swayed by the esoteric

and totally irrelevant title

It's a simply diabolical use of words that rhyme and a perfect example of music in today's age, - Sentences that are strewn together because they rhyme, There's no deeper meaning or reader interpretation it is a two dimensional plethora of pathetic points with no relevance to anything of any importance in any situation, What is a Dyad?, If this is realy peice of poetry that has a real meaning I will eat my hat, Infact I won't because based on the rate of pathetic drivel people are crafting these days I wouldn't be surpised if dyad was latin for light and by some convuluted way it was a deep and meaning view of modern life or something pathetic like that

I do not expect Socrates to outsmart Aristarchus. There is a poet in here that you visited earlier who is really bad, too bad and unethical in his posts. Someday the Helios will shine with truth. It does not matter if someone writes a bad poem. What matters is for the people like him, to act legally. Enough said. I think I deserve many BAs. But I care less. By the way I am posting one of the best poems written lately. MY poem. You are invited for critique and BA.

maximum of what's published right that's via amateurs, novices who're nevertheless in severe college, or via youthful adults dealing with some painful era of their existence who chosen poetry as the thank you to help cope with it. of direction maximum of it incredibly is not very sturdy. Few early writing efforts are. And maximum of those will by no skill make the attempt to alter into authentic, performed poets. i visit offer help and encouragement to those that seem to take the craft heavily and choose to extra valuable themselves as writers. something I merely do no longer respond to. What i discover thrilling is that those comparable fledgling poets decrease the bar for themselves and others via too definitely praising one yet another. yet I understand that that's merely yet another ingredient of human nature and all and sundry desires some useful reinforcement of their lives. don't be a snob. in case you think of you're writing is plenty extra valuable there are a number of different boards, like stay magazine, the place the verse is plenty extra polished, plenty extra performed and thought trough. of direction, they're going to additionally enable you comprehend surprising away while you at the instant are not just about as sturdy as you think of you're.
