Mary was only a person. She was born a sinner and sinned her whole life. Died and was buried.

Mary has no powers or authority to do anything for us.

    James 1:16

16Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. 17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. 18Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Everything we receive, everything we have is from God The Father, not from mary. Mary was only a vessel used by God to bring God The Son into the world only and nothing else.

Mary is definitely up there as the Mother of God (Jesus), but she is not the fourth part of the Blessed Trinity. If you believe in the intersession of the saints in heaven Catholics do believe she is closer to Jesus' ear than the rest of the saints, even the 11 original apostles. Jesus turned water onto wine at the wedding at Cana at his mother's request (John 2:1-5), a miracle granted as a favor to their host. She is a powerful intercessor, but only if what is asked for conforms to God's will.

It is a teaching that Mary is not divine, it cannot and will not ever be otherwise.

Co-redemptrix is not taught and mediatrix does not imply divinity.

You must realize that the Catholic teaching of suffering calls for a human union with Jesus in his suffering that adds to the Infinity of merits earned by Jesus and gives meaning to the suffering. This is contrary to Reformation teaching that nothing from man is worthy of God. We do not teach that humans are divine by this teaching.

Just as scripture mediates, so too does Mary. She is the first human to bring the good news, the Word, to the historical world; she did so by giving birth to him. Jesus is fully human because of her mediation. Whether he could be fully human otherwise is meaningless, this is what God chose and this is how history played out.

I'm not Catholic, first of all, but it's funny that you assumed that. And Catholics do NOT worship Mary. This is basic Catholicism; you don't have to be Catholic to realize that Catholics don't worship Mary, or any other saints, for that matter. Latria, worship, is solely God's; anything else is simply veneration, and it's very clear that although Mary is an intercessor, she doesn't answer prayers herself. She intercedes with God, on behalf of the person who prayed, and God answers that prayer.

Catholics do not worship the Blessed Virgin Mary or any another except for The Trinity God.

a simple google check will educate you

It's all nonsense. As a former practicing Catholic for 40 years, I can tell you that the stories and myths build over the centuries. It's embarassing. Apparitions, floating on clouds, wearing blue dresses, and the obsessive compulsive way in which we're taught to say the rosary and beg for intercession...it's enough to make anyone borderline insane. It's the religion that never gives any comfort. It's wicked.
