gr 9 orientation themes?
my class is in charge of the orientation this year and we are suppose to come up with a theme. i remember when i was in gr 9 our theme was superheroes and we did activities around that idea. i need a good theme..
i was thinking of CSI miami where we do an adventure...
but i want to know if there's something maybe better? any ideas??

CSI is a pretty good idea (I wouldn't bother restricting it to Miami).
Perhaps a recent movie theme, such as
Harry Potter

... or just cut loose form any particular movie, and do an entertainment genre:
action film
romantic comedy
prime-time sitcom
doctor show
soap opera (go *really* over the top with your emotions, and turn every situation into a dramatic crisis).
Given the demise of "All My Children", you might have enough people aware to make soap operas a lot of fun.
"Greg! I don't know which restroom is closest to my algebra class. Gregg, you *have* to HELP me, or I'll be late for class, I'll have a yellow slip, and my life will be ruined! I won't get a date to the prom, Greg! For the sake of the Wilson high Warriors, you've got to get me to the restroom!"
You might look up some of the pop-art paintings by Roy Lichtenstein to get some poster inspiration, too. He did huge artworks that look like giant versions of comic-book panels.
