I am suddenly not receiving a channel I have always gotten in the past.?

You need to tell us how you are receiving your channels. Antenna? Cable? Satellite?

"Converter box" suggests an antenna, but you should be more specific.

Your CW channel is a local broadcast station, so there are various possibilities:

1. The CW transmitter is temporarily off the air.

2. The CW station has gone out of business.

3. If you have cable or satellite, the company might have removed the channel from their channel package (call them and ask, or call your local CW station).

Use http://www.cwtv.com/thecw/stations/ and see if the CW channel is still available in your area.

Call you local cable company, after all - they seem to be controlling us.
