Is there any way to run DOS programs on Windows 7 PCs?

I don't need fancy graphics. Reliability is my main concern. Tried DOSbox, but it crashes unexpectedly.

Update:

BTW: the DOSbox forums say that DOSbox is for games only, so crashing is not a problem for gamers. I'm trying to run a business application which shouldn't crash in the middle of a transaction, but DOSbox folks say I shouldn't be using DOSbox for business apps. So I'm looking for another, more reliable, way to run DOS apps.
