Changing kids names so they wouldn't get picked on?

If you adopted kids and they were named after a popular teen book's characters, wouldn't you be tempted to change the younger kid's name just so people wouldn't always think of that book instead of them as people? I mean, please agree with me that its weird that siblings are named after a couple that dated and fell in love in a book. Incestuous much?!

Update:

They are named after Twilight characters. I was just in shock when I found out. Sadly this isn't a fake question.

Update 2:

They are named after Twilight characters. I was just in shock when I found out. Sadly this isn't a fake question.

Update 3:

I've even ok with the baby keeping his names and just adding a new first name for him to be called. No loss of names, just adding to.

The children already have names...names that they already know are their names.

How do you they will get teased for them? Kids get teased for a variety of reasons and I know plenty of people that have unusual names and haven't been teased about them a day in their life.

I also know twins that are named Jacob and Bella. I don't see them getting teased. By the time they are old enough for any kids to realize where the names are from, the Twilight craze will be long forgotten.

Many people are named after movie characters, book characters, or songs and I don't think many are that affected by it. It's nothing new or uncommon.

I don't really agree with changing adopted children's name at all. Even when the name might be very strange. I know a girl named Honey Bea. If they don't like their names later on, it should be their choice to change them.

I personally wouldn't have named my kids after a couple from Twilight but then again, I don't care for the series much. I am a book lover and I have come across many names in my reading that I did consider so I don't find it odd at all for someone to fall in love with a name of a character or characters from a book. Also, the names from Twilight are very popular names and have been popular names way before Twilight came around.

Are you sure they are named after the Twlight characters? Or did the parents just love the names, as both names were already popular long before the Twlight series came out.

Yes, most definitely. I think its extremely sad and embarrassing that in a few years the kids named Bella and Jacob will be getting made fun of hardcore in school. What about the name "Cristelyn"? Good lord. I would kick myself every day if my parents named me such a god-awful name.
