monitor color correction?

I am in serious need of a monitor calibration tool. Not so much for prints more for true color on my laptop. any ideas?

    I use a Datacolor Spyder3 Elite for my workstation and laptop monitor calibration. http://spyder.datacolor.com/product-mc-s3elite.php

    There are several other brands of calibrators, but I don't have experience with them.

    I make sure there is no direct/reflective light on the monitor (turning off lights and closing shades) before I start the calibration. I run it every 30 days or whenever there is a video driver update.
