Blue screen of death help please?
I installed windows 7 on my xp a few months ago and i went to update it and I got the screen of death :( I tried pressing F8 and then ran safe mode, but then it wouldnt allow me to get passed the windows screen. I need all the help I can get. Any one know how to do it so that I can do it from home by myself.

When reporting BSoD errors always specify the error code. It's the capitalised string of text underneath the "A problem has been encountered" etc etc message at the top. It's often invaluable and can make the reason why it's happening obvious.
The only advice I can give at the moment would be to reinstall Windows 7. There are options to backup all your files but if the problem was caused by an update it should revert Windows 7 to default system settings.

Reinstall it, should take the bugs out, only update through Windows update.
