Ubiquinol, the new wonder drug, causes adverse effects in some people.?

If this drug (an advanced form of CoQ10) is so wonderful, how come it causes fatigue and joint pain in some people taking a recommended dose?

Update:

Well, thanks for that, guys. Of course, I was using the word drug very loosely and I am so so sorry that was not obvious. I was thinking along the lines of hormonal supplements which are often called drugs, especially when prescribed by doctors, though of course as you tell me, CoQ10 is produced naturally. Unlike hormones, perhaps!

Unfortunately, in your haste to condemn my use of the word, you have not looked at the question. I want to know why this food supplement can cause the side effects it does, ie what are the specific actions of what on what and what are the mechanics. If supplementation is unnecessary, why is the excess not just lost in micturition instead of staying behind to cause physical problems. We all already know, those of us who have looked at the subject, why we should take it as we get older and where and how it was discovered. Now if you can answer the question, I'll be very glad to see it. It'll be worth 10 points.

Hypothyroidism is the most common thyroid disorder, and it is thought to affect around six to 10 per cent of women. Getting hypothyroidism under control https://tr.im/O2nY2

The prevalence rises with age - up to a quarter of women over the age of 65 years may be affected. Men are also affected, but less frequently. Hypothyroidism can be either primary or secondary. Primary hypothyroidism means that the thyroid gland itself is diseased, while secondary hypothyroidism is caused by problems with the pituitary gland, the brain structure that supervises the thyroid gland. The most common cause of primary hypothyroidism is the autoimmune condition Hashimoto’s disease.
